Diana Gwiyo

Programs Manager

Diana holds a Bachelors of Law degree from the University of Nairobi. An ICT enthusiast, she completed a research paper on ICT and the law and has also been an entrepreneur in the ICT sector for over a decade, with a highlight of creating two mobile phone Apps. She is a founding member of Biashara Dada Initiative that was formed to empower women in business and to help them access information needed for starting and running their own businesses.

At Biashara Dada she was as a trainer in table banking and micro-enterprise. Passionate about entrepreneurship and serving the vulnerable in society, at Elimu she directs a digital fashion design program and established the annual Digital Fashion Show. She developed Elimu’s digital reading program taking the resource centre out to the community at a women’s rescue centre and local prison. Diana has gathered professional and personal experience in diverse cultural environments, including the rural Tana Delta region, Nairobi City and Malindi Town.
