At Elimu, we are co-creating a learning community where self-directed learners use digital technology to achieve their goals and build better futures.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to receive a quality education, and we are committed to creating a world where they can thrive regardless of their geographical location or socio-economic background.
Our first focus is children at risk and vulnerable girls from rural communities. Through sponsorships and mentorship, we work to enhance school retention, academic performance, and entrepreneurship experience.
Listening to the children in our programs, we introduced digital technology to increase access to educational resources. We offer hands-on learning opportunities, such as volunteering, and community-based activities like tree planting.
We also work to guide youth towards self-sustainability after high school through career planning and entrepreneurship. Digital literacy training is an important key to preparing them for the technology-based work world of the future – and for improving their futures.
