We recently hosted CAP-YEI representatives at Elimu Resource Centre. YEI stands for Youth Empowerment Institute. They are an NGO committed to training youth after high school in entry level job skills to improve their marketability and help them develop networks for sourcing work. They focus on disadvantages youth and provide training, mentorship and job search support. They have training programs across Kenya including right here in Malindi.

This was a first introductory meeting where we each shared our history, priorities and future goals. The synergies are clear between our two organizations. We discussed where we can work together in future to the benefit of the youth of Malindi. As Elimu continues to develop programming to serve high school graduates with employability and entrepreneurship skills, we value the input and expertise of organizations such as CAP-YEI and are working towards building solid partnerships to achieve our goals.
